1. Can you remember something that you were really worried about 3 or 4 years ago? How did the situation turn out?
2. Verse 25 starts with a “Therefore,” which links the passage to what came before. For example, what in verses 19-24 are sources of fear, worry and anxiety?
3. What is the type of anxiety that Jesus is pointing to? How much control do you think you really have over your life?
4. Why are we of more value than God’s creatures and the natural world? Then why do we often fail to trust God to look after us?
5. How does relying on God’s sovereignty and providence help us deal with fear, worry and anxiety? How does seeking God’s kingdom and His righteousness help alleviate anxiety?
6. What action is Peter calling us to do in 1 Peter 5:7? How can you picture doing this in your mind and in your prayer? What heart attitude is required to do this?
