1. What was your most memorable experience this past summer?

2. How did Jesus feeding the 5000 echo Israel’s Wilderness experience under Moses? What was similar? What was different?

3. As a sign, in what ways did feeding the 5000 show who Jesus is?  How did the crowd respond? Why? How should we respond to this sign?

4. How is the world we live in today as Christians like a “Wilderness” experience? What kind of “food” does the world offer? What kind of “predators” do we encounter? How are we provisioned and protected?

5. Why do we need to repent of seeking God merely to fulfill our material needs and self-interest?
