Our desire at Ness is to lay a foundation of prayer as we move forward in obedience to God’s direction. As we participate together in faithful prayer, we witness God’s work and presence in our midst.
“Prayer is not so much an act as it is an attitude - an attitude of dependency, dependency upon God”….. A.W. Pink
We are blessed to have a team of intercessors who pray for the needs of the people in our church and community. This Prayer Chain circulates requests quickly, confidentially and effeciently through email at nessprayerline@nessbaptist.com. We are confident that our heavenly Father hears our pleas hen our trials and needs are covered in prayer and taken to His throne room. It is both a privilege and responsibility to “carry each other’s burdens” …Galatians 6:2 As we receive updates of answered prayers, our gratitude gives voice to praise and adoration.
On Sunday mornings following the service, the Pastors, Deacons and Deaconnesses are available to pray alongside anyone who is in need of private prayer support. This serves to encourage, strengthen and comfort each other during our times of greatest need.
“Be still and know that I am God.”….. Psalm 46:10
During the week, we encourage people to come to the sanctuary for solitude and quiet time with the Lord. Here we wish to create an atmosphere of worship where the focus is solely on God without the distractions of people, home, work or technology. We pray that this will be a place where you will sense the Holy Spirit’s presence touch your heart in the silence and reverence of prayer.
"Prayer is the way you defeat the devil, reach the lost, restore a backslider, strengthen the saints, send missionaries out, cure the sick, accomplish the impossible, and know the will of God." David Jeremiah |
