Women's Discipleship Groups This fall we began a new women's discipleship program. Small groups of 5 or 6 women meet weekly for Bible study, prayer and encouragement. If you are interested in being part of a future session or would like to know more about it, please contact Candace Dunsire.
Deaconess Meal Plan One of the long running ministries that the Deaconesses provide is our MEAL PLAN. We provide meals for anyone who needs help because of illness. To provide those meals we rely on the people in our congregation. If you would like to be a part of this Ministry we will add your name to the list of people we might contact to make a meal or provide a casserole. You would probably only be asked a couple of times in a year. You could also provide a casserole or soup to be kept in our freezer for urgent use. If you have any questions, would like to add your name to the list or want to provide a freezer meal, please email Bev Taplin at firstname.lastname@example.org or call me at 204-889-2447.
Our focus at Helping Hands is to provide a caring and God centered place for the ladies from our church as well as from the community to come together and make things for the needy in our city. Some of the women that come have no other outing and it is important that they feel accepted and loved. Not all of them follow Christianity. We have a few special events during the year and remember their birthdays too. They ask for prayer for themselves and loved ones and appreciate that someone cares. Helping Hands sort of leads itself, they come and share their skills with each other and make the most beautiful things to donate. We make blankets, afghans, shawls, hats, scarves, mitts and baby items.
