Women's Discipleship Groups This year, our women’s discipleship groups will be going through an overview of the New Testament, discussing a new book each week, as well as encouraging, supporting and praying with one another. Our prayer is that this will help us to gain perspective and understanding of the over-arching message of the Bible, which in turn enables us to obey God and grow in His grace and in faith. If you would like to be connected to a group, please email Candace Dunsire. Groups will begin meeting the first week of October.
Deaconess Meal Plan One of the long running ministries that the Deaconesses provide is our MEAL PLAN. We provide meals for anyone who needs help because of illness. To provide those meals we rely on the people in our congregation. If you would like to be a part of this Ministry we will add your name to the list of people we might contact to make a meal or provide a casserole. You would probably only be asked a couple of times in a year. You could also provide a casserole or soup to be kept in our freezer for urgent use. If you have any questions, would like to add your name to the list or want to provide a freezer meal, please contact Bev Taplin.
Helping Hands
Our focus at Helping Hands is to provide a caring and God centered place for the ladies from our church as well as from the community to come together and make things for the needy in our city. Some of the women that come have no other outing and it is important that they feel accepted and loved. Not all of them follow Christianity. We have a few special events during the year and remember their birthdays too. They ask for prayer for themselves and loved ones and appreciate that someone cares. Helping Hands sort of leads itself, they come and share their skills with each other and make the most beautiful things to donate. We make blankets, afghans, shawls, hats, scarves, mitts and baby items.
