A Weekly update for our Ness Community

JULY 9, 2026

   ☼ HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK

We’re already a week into July! How is that possible? Whenever summer hits it feels like things start slowing down, but there’s one ministry here that is filling the calendar. Ness Youth have lots of events all through the summer. Some just for older kids, and some for certain grade levels, but if you’re a Ness Youth, or a Youth parent, make sure you’re checking your email! Brennan, our Youth Director will be giving us an update this week on the Youth Ministry and we’ll get to hear all about it.

Here’s some highlights for us this week:

  • The translation service we launched last week is in use! We’ve seen users in Spanish and Ukrainian and we have available Swahili and Korean. We are interested in adding other languages if it is necessary, so let us know if you require support for yourself or someone you want to bring to church. It’s such a blessing to have access to teaching and other believers in this way. If you want to use the service, there is a QR code that will be on the front of the bulletin. A reminder to bring a headset that you can plug into your phone for audio, or alternatively, you can read the text as it appears—And don’t forget to silence your phone.

  • The Worship team is introducing a new song from the Psalms that encourages us to praise the Lord with all we have. It’s a pretty catchy tune for the summer. Be sure to take a listen in the Worship section of this update.

  • Also, Summer KidZone started last week and the age limit this year has been changed to include up to Grade 3. Check out the Kidzone section for the colouring page and a video to watch at home!

  • Parent’s are invited to go Paintballing with their Youth—or head to the driving range. Head to the Youth Section to find those details.

MESSAGE PREVIEW

SovEreign God, the gentle Shepherd, and a real life

Rob Simpson

Behold, the Lord GOD comes with might, and his arm rules for him; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him. He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young. —Isaiah 40:10–11

KIDZ CORNER

Sorry for the mixed messaging. If you missed it, there’s good news: We are in fact, running KidZone for the summer up to Grade 3, and adults and kids alike are welcome to download the coloring pages, watch the videos, and keep up with what’s happening in KidZone. Don’t worry, it’s not a spoiler. The class doesn’t intend to use these parts regularly so it is just a fun way to keep engaged at home over the summer, and hopefully spark some great dinner table conversations with your families.

CHILD DEDICATIONS

Psalm 127:3‍ ‍says “Children are a gift from the Lord”. Child dedications are an opportunity to thank God for the blessing of children, to recognize and commit this gift to His care, and to commit to raising our children in His ways, with the help of our church family. The church also joins in this commitment to love, support, and pray for the children of our Ness community.

If you are interested in having your child DEDICATED, please fill out this form to let us know ►
