1. What do you like to build, create or make, even as a hobby? What do you find pleasurable or satisfying about it? Is what you accomplished totally independent from something or someone anywhere in the process?

2. Do you think it would be nice if Genesis 1 was longer and included more detail? What would you wish was included? Why do you think it was not included?

3. What does the creation and the creating reveal about God’s character and His traits?

4. What does Genesis 1 reveal about us, our identity, our value and our purpose? Including your answers to Question 2, why is this important for us to understand and apply this in life?

5. Read Gen 1:28-31, 2:8; Exodus 40:34; 1 Kings 8:10-11; John 2:19; 1 Peter 2:5; Revelation 21:1-4, 22-23. What common theme or themes link these OT and NT passages?

6. God desires to be with you and for you to desire to be with him. How has He made this possible? How does this motivate and enable you to worship and serve?
