READ MARK 4:35-41
Consider these questions when reflecting on this message:
In this week's sermon we discussed how storms can take over our thoughts and emotions.
What “storm” in your life right now is competing for your attention and trust in God?
The disciples questioned whether Jesus cared about them in the storm.
Why do we feel that way when storms hit?
Jesus was able to rest in the storm because of His trust in the Father. He was experiencing peace because he knew that his Father always had his perfect eyes on him.
What practical steps can you take this week to grow in trusting God during stressful or uncertain moments?
The passage teaches that peace comes from knowing who God is, not from the absence of storms.
How can you actively remind yourself of God’s character when you feel overwhelmed?
The disciples moved from fearing the storm to fearing Jesus.
What does it look like in your life to shift your fear from circumstances to a healthy fear (awe and trust) of God?
The key question in the passage is, “Who then is this?”
How does your answer to that question shape the way you respond to the challenges you face?
