READ MARK 6:30-44
Consider these questions when reflecting on this message:
Finding Rest in Jesus
Jesus invited the disciples to step away from their busy ministry and rest with Him. What currently competes for your time and attention, and what practical step can you take this week to prioritize rest with Jesus?
Growing in Compassion
Jesus looked at the crowds with compassion, seeing them as “sheep without a shepherd.” Who in your life might need compassion (Jesus) right now, and how can you intentionally demonstrate Christ-like care toward them this week?
Participating in God's Work
When faced with a huge need, the disciples wanted Jesus to send the people away, but Jesus told them, “You give them something to eat.” Is there a situation where God may be calling you to act rather than wait? What might obedience look like?
Searching for Satisfaction
We often look to things like success, relationships, comfort, or possessions to satisfy us. And sometimes they do for a while! Where are you most tempted to seek fulfillment outside of Jesus, and what has that pursuit taught you?
Jesus as the Bread of Life
The crowd was physically fed and satisfied, but Jesus offers something even deeper—true life in Him. In what area of your life do you most need to trust Jesus to be your ultimate source of contentment and satisfaction?
