Consider these questions when reflecting on this message:
The sermon begins by asking where you turn in times of desperation. What is typically your first instinct or action when facing a severe crisis or an overwhelming problem?
This woman left behind her own culture and its false gods (like Eshmun) to seek help from Jesus, a perceived enemy. What elements of our own culture are competing for your trust?
Mega Faith is described as "persistent." The woman wouldn't take no for an answer, even sparring with Jesus. How persistent is your prayer life, especially when an answer seems delayed or is not what you hoped for?
The woman demonstrated an incredible level of trust by simply going home when Jesus said her daughter was healed, without asking Him to come along just in case. Why is that kind of trust so difficult for us? Where in your life are you struggling to trust that Jesus has already done what He said He would do?
The sermon concludes with the powerful idea that even "the sufficiency of table scraps" from Jesus was more than enough to meet this woman's deepest need. How does that understanding change your perspective on your own adequacy and resources when facing challenges?
