1. What do you think is one of your biggest accomplishments? Did it come easy?

2. Does Matt 10:16-25 apply to us today? If so, what timeless truths do we find in the passage?

3. What characteristics of a disciple can you discern in v 16-20. Sheep normally do not go amongst wolves. What is Jesus saying in this striking metaphor?

4. From v 21-23, what can we expect to endure in following Christ? Why can we persevere and endure to the end? (For help, see Rom 8:29-30; 2 Cor 3:18; 1 John 3:2)

5. Life is hard and filled with pain of all kinds. Of what benefit is suffering and sacrifice to us at all? (v 24-25)

6. Does this passage motivate you or discourage you? How can we prepare ourselves for inevitable suffering and persecution?
