Four-Part Harmony // Psalm 19

May 18, 2025

1. When you look up at the night sky and see the moon and stars, what do you think about?

2. In Psalm 18:46-50, why is David so thrilled and excited?

3. In Psalm 19:1-6, what does David see when he gazes into sky? What do the heavens reveal about the character of God? What does David mean by “speech” without “voice”? (See also Romans 1:18-20.)

4. In Psalm 19:7-11, what are all the different words used to describe Scripture? Why so many? What does Scripture reveal about the character of God?

5. See Jeremiah 17:9-10 and Hebrews 4:11-14. In Psalm 19:12-14,  how does David respond to God’s revelation of Himself in Nature and in Scripture? Why is true and ongoing repentance so important in the Christian life?

6. See Hebrews 1:1-3. How does Psalm 19 point to and describe Christ and our salvation through Him?

7. With respect to the revelation of God to His creation and His people, Psalm 19 says, “nothing is hidden from its heat,” and, “the commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.” What does it say about us and our view of God if we avoid prayer and reading His word? Is God hiding from us?

8. How will you continue in prayer and Bible reading this summer?
