STAND ALONE MESSAGE // DANIEL 6 // ROB SIMPSON

September 6, 2026

Read Daniel 6
Consider these questions when reflecting on this message:

  1. Have you ever had a time you had to stand alone for something you believed in?

  2. Daniel distinguished himself through high professional integrity and an “extraordinary spirit” under

multiple pagan regimes. How can Christians today pursue workplace excellence and faithful witness

    without compromising their spiritual convictions?

  3. Daniel’s rivals could find no corruption or negligence in him, concluding they could only trap him

regarding “the law of his God”. When living a blameless life provokes actual hostility from the

surrounding culture, or even family - how should we respond?

  4. How should New Testament believers balance the reality of physical deliverance in this story with the

understanding that not all faithful martyrs escape earthly death?

  5. Looking at your own life right now, what “lions” or cultural pressures threaten your daily walk with

Christ, and what is one practical step you can take to anchor your rhythm of prayer?
