Consider these questions when reflecting on this message:
When you first came to faith, who did you believe Jesus was, and how has your understanding of Him grown over time? In what ways might your view of Jesus still need clarification or correction?
The blind man needed a second touch from Jesus before he could see clearly. Are there areas of your life where you feel your spiritual vision is still blurry? What might it look like to seek Jesus' "second touch" in those areas?
Peter correctly confessed that Jesus was the Christ, but he misunderstood what kind of Messiah Jesus would be. Have there been times when you've expected Jesus to meet your expectations rather than submitting to His plans? What happened?
Jesus rebuked Peter because Peter's priorities were focused on comfort, success, and avoiding suffering. What are some ways our culture encourages us to avoid sacrifice or self-denial? How do you personally struggle with this tension?
Jesus says that following Him requires denying ourselves, taking up our cross, and following Him. What is one practical way you can deny yourself and put Christ first this week? What might "taking up your cross" look like in your current season of life?
The disciples repeatedly failed Jesus, yet He never gave up on them. How does God's grace encourage you when you struggle, doubt, or fail? Is there an area where you need to trust that Christ is still holding onto you even when you feel weak?
