JUNE 25, 2026

   ☼ HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK

SUNDAY, JUNE 28, 2026

Prayer Gathering | 9:30 AM

Board Room

Coffee & Fellowship | 10 AM

SERVICE STARTS AT 10:30 AM

  • Check out our Spotify [ ►]‍ ‍
and YouTube [ ►]‍ ‍playlists to learn the songs we sing.

Theme: Praise God for His Faithfulness • Psalm 8

    This week’s songs:

    • Oh Our Lord (Psalm 8)

    • God is For Us

    • The Stand

    • He Will Be

    • ‘Tis so Sweet to Trust in Jesus

  • Our worship time begins with an opportunity for giving and to thank God for all He has provided for us.

On Communion Sunday we also take a benevolence offering. These funds are used to meet individual needs of those in need in our community. Just mark the amount under benevolence with your offering and it will be allocated to this fund.

Giving in person lets everyone take part and also models the practice of tithing to our children.

Individuals who wish to give in person should include your name and address on your envelope so a number can be assigned to you. Tax receipts are sent in January following the calendar year.

  • We will have the opportunity to take Communion together this Sunday, in remembrance of what Christ has done for us. His body broken and his blood shed in order that we might have life. This justification is beautifully described in Romans 5, which ends with these words: “so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

  • Each week we read a congregational reading together.

This week we will read verses from Psalm 8 together as we praise God for His faithfulness.

Nothing replaces meeting together as a church, but if you aren’t able to join us, use this livestream link to watch at home:

KIDZ CORNER

This is the final lesson before the summer Kidzone schedule takes effect. Use these tips to help you discuss this week’s lesson at home":

KIDZONE PARENTS, TAKE NOTE:

Summer KidZone accommodates kids up to Grade 3. Grades 4 & 5 stay in the service during the summer. This helps with lower teacher support over the summer months, and to acclimate the older kids as they prepare to move into the service in grade 6.

CHILD DEDICATIONS

Psalm 127:3‍ ‍says “Children are a gift from the Lord”. Child Dedications are an opportunity to thank God for the blessing of children, to recognize and commit this gift to His care, and to commit to raising our children in His ways, with the help of our church family. The church also joins in this commitment to love, support, and pray for the children of our Ness community.

If you are interested in having your child DEDICATED, please fill out this form to let us know ►

NOTICES

  • The office will be closed next Wednesday due to Canada day.

  • The BGC Church at Minitonas experienced flooding, as well as our church in Stonewall who are also providing relief efforts as they work to manage their own crisis. Samaritan’s Purse is launching relief efforts in Swan River, and possibly stonewall. Volunteers are needed and anyone who is able is encouraged to participate in this effort. More information can be found Here ►
Pastor Marcus is also navigating the possibility of putting together a volunteer crew to assist. If this is something that you are interested in, please contact him directly. ‍

  • Our team we love to call the “Muscle Crew” could really use some extra hands for event setup. It’s usually a very quick task to setup or tear down but as the saying goes — “Many hands make light work”. If this is a way you can serve, speak to Jon Chapman or email the office to get connected.

  • This team could use a couple more people to join the rotation. If this is something you feel God might be calling you to serve in, please speak to Krista Antonio and/or Jordan Dalzell. Reach out to the office for contact information if required.

  • Helping Hands has paused until fall. This group meets on Thursdays bi-weekly for coffee, fellowship & crafting. Bring a project or join in on quilt making projects supporting local groups in need.  Contact Debbie Giesbrecht or the office to connect for the fall.

  • Most Life Groups are now on break for the summer, and will resume in the fall.  If you’re not sure if your group is still meeting, speak to your host.  If you are not currently in a life group, scan the QR to sign up, or email the office to get connected in a Life Group this fall.  Life Groups are a great way to grow in faith through fellowship with other believers in your church family. If you’d like to host a group in the fall, this form includes those opportunities as well.  We’d love to hear from you. A special thank you to all of our current Life Group Hosts and Leaders, as well!
