Do Not Fear // Matthew 10:26-33

20 October 2024

1. What was the most embarrassing thing that happened to you when you were younger? If you can look back on it now and laugh, why might it have been hard to do so back then?

2. The passage mentions fear four times. In our humanity, what are the things that we normally fear living day to day? Why is peer pressure so powerful?

3. From this passage and from the sermon, discuss some reasons why we should fear God and not man. How will Truth triumph?

4. Why do you think our soul is more important than our body or our popularity?

5. Jesus taught that living for Him and spreading the Gospel will result in us being hurt, rejected and despised. What might we be tempted to do to the Message in proclaiming it? Why must we proclaim only what God has taught us from His word?

6. What does Jesus set forth as the true test of our heart allegiance in this passage? How will you steward your faith and guard your heart while you walk?
