Consider these questions when reflecting on this message:
Jesus as “add‑on” or everything
This week we contrasted “adding Jesus on” to an unchanged life versus embracing a whole new paradigm. In what areas of your life might Jesus still function more like an add‑on than the center? What would full renewal look like there?Joy as a mark of your faith.
Jesus describes his presence as a wedding celebration characterized by joy. How would someone who knows you describe the tone of your faith—joyful, burdened, anxious, or something else? What might God be inviting you to reclaim or release so that joy becomes more visible?Practices without transformation.
The Pharisees practiced fasting, Sabbath‑keeping, and religious discipline, yet missed their purpose. Are there spiritual habits in your life that have become routine or performance‑driven rather than transformative? How could you re‑engage them with the right heart?Sabbath and rest in your current rhythm
Jesus teaches that Sabbath was made to serve humanity, not burden it. How well is intentional rest and worship built into your weekly rhythm right now? What specific change could you make to treat Sabbath as a gift rather than an afterthought?Rules versus compassion
What might “rising” look like for you right now—in your habits, relationships, or faith? What step of obedience or trust might Jesus be inviting you to take?Ongoing renewal, not a one‑time moment
The sermon emphasizes that renewal is “little by little, day by day.” Where have you seen growth in your life recently—and where do you feel stuck? What is one concrete step of faith, repentance, or trust God may be prompting you to take right now?
